Eat Fit

In New Orleans, food is more than nutrition – it’s an obsession. Five minutes after lunch, we’re talking about dinner. And fortunately, Eat Fit makes it easy to fuel our bodies well.

Registered dietitian Molly Kimball created the Ochsner Eat Fit nonprofit initiative to collaborate with chefs to offer nutritious, delicious meals for those who want to eat clean, watch their weight, and manage diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol. Look for the Eat Fit seal on menus at your favorite restaurants, markets, festivals and beyond.

Ochsner’s Eat Fit initiative has expanded well beyond Eat Fit NOLA, offering Eat Fit in six regions throughout the state, driven by our talented team of registered dietitians. Our goal is to empower the community to live their strongest, healthiest lives possible by providing easy-to-access real-world education, inspiration and resources on wellness and nutrition.

Download the Eat Fit smartphone app to find Eat Fit partners in your region, along with hundreds of Eat Fit recipes, brand-specific shopping guides and more.

“Truth be told, Ochsner Eat Fit is purely a product of the sheer force of personality of Molly Kimball. Period. And to influence the eating culture of New Orleans – even just a little – is one heck of an accomplishment.”

- Ti Martin, co-proprietor, Commander’s Palace

  • Alcohol Free For 40

Alcohol Free For 40 is quite possibly one of the most rewarding events hosted by our Eat Fit team. The annual #AlcoholFreeFor40 Challenge gives us the opportunity to do our own little self-experiment, to see and feel the benefits of going alcohol-free, both inside and out. The Eat Fit team hosts pre- and post-challenge events to track labs and physical metrics for the community across six regions.
